The complexities and challenges of sport at all levels require a well
prepared individual with qualifications in such diversified responsibilities
as sport programming, supervision, management, facility planning, promotions
and purchasing. This option provides a quality educational experience that
will prepare the student in a unique way for a career in the rapidly evolving
arena of sport.
The Bachelor of Science in Sport Management will be as unique as Eastern itself and
will afford each student an opportunity to receive cutting edge instruction
in a practical program of study. The program will culminate in an internship
setting giving the student "hands on" experience necessary to secure
employment within the industry. The internship courses are offered cooperatively
with a variety of sport organizations, including professional sports teams,
college athletic departments, community organizations, recreational sports
and fitness centers. Starting salary's range from $30,000 - $35,000. For students
who go one to get their Master of Science in Sports Administration, salaries improve to
$34,000 - $50,000.
