Master of Science in Physical Education
The Department of Exercise and Sport Science offers a Master's degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in one of three option areas: Sports Administration, Exercise and Wellness, and Exercise and Sport Science. Each option requires 30 credit hours for completion. Full-time graduate students in the Sports Administration and Exercise and Wellness options typically take four courses in each of the Fall and Spring semesters and complete their program with an internship in the summer. The Exercise and Sport Science option includes ten courses but no internship. A thesis is available to, but not required for, students in the Exercise and Sport Science option. The program may be pursued on a part-time basis by teachers or professionals already working in the field. The Graduate Coordinator will work with those students to develop their program of study.
